On the main page of dealsaver.com there is a drop down box to “Choose Your City”. This represents all the cities in which dealsaver is currently active. If you have a request for a city we do not currently represent, you can email dealsaversupport@mcclatchyinteractive.com for future consideration.

5. How do I subscribe to the daily email from dealsaver?

On the same site, you can also subscribe by clicking the "register now" button on the top of the page.

Check your SPAM filter and make sure the email has not been caught there. If it’s there, be sure to add the dealsaver email address to your contact list.

7. How do I unsubscribe from the daily email?

Click the "opt-out of this newsletter" link that is located at the bottom of the email.

You can also unsubscribe if you are logged into your account and reviewing your profile from the account area in the upper right of your city's dealsaver page where you can then un-check the check box for the daily deals email.

8. How long do I have to purchase a deal?

The length of time that deals are available varies from deal to deal. Please check the individual deal's description on the website. Note that while some deals may be on for a period of several days or longer, do keep in mind that merchants often have a limited quantity of deals to offer, and they may close or end deal at anytime or once a certain amount of certificates have been sold.

9. Why does the site refer to “Paid Value” and “Promotional Value”, what’s the difference?

There are two values assigned to each deal and Certificate. The “Paid Value” and the “Promotional Value”. The Paid Value is the actual amount you physically paid for the Certificate. The Promotional Value is the amount the merchant is offering over and above the Paid Value and is typically only redeemable for a limited period of time as specified on the Certificate (“Promotional Period”). The Promotional Value expires at the end of the Promotional Period specified on the Certificate (unless expiration of the Promotional Value is prohibited by law), but the Paid Value does not expire until it is used or redeemed (except to the extent expiration of the Paid Value is stated on the Certificate and permitted by law). Please see our Terms of Service for more detail here.

10. How long before a Certificate expires?

The length of time that a particular deal certificate is valid varies by offer. Please check the individual deal's description & restrictions. Both the site and the printed deal certificate will demonstrate clearly the expiration of the Promotional Value of the certificate, while the Paid Value of the certificate will be honored by the merchant for 5 (five) years, or longer if your state laws require. But you’ll certainly want to redeem the before the promotional period expires, since the merchant is not obligated to honor the higher promotional value of your certificate afterwards. Please see our Terms of Service for more detail here.

11. What credit cards are accepted?

Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

12. How will this order appear on my credit card?

For Visa and Mastercard, “dealsaver ” will appear on your statement.

For Discover and American Express, "ONLINE PHOTOS&CONTESTS" will appear on your statement.

13. How do I redeem a deal purchased?

There are two ways:

1. Print out your deal certificate (available via the "my deals" link when you are logged in) and show your certificate to the merchant.

2. Go to your local dealsaver site on your mobile phone (this URL will vary), log in to the site, click on "my deals" and show your phone to the merchant.

Remember, good dealsaver customers tip on the full amount of the bill before the deal certificate is applied.

14. Can I request a refund for unused dealsaver purchases?

dealsaver.com will always offer a full refund or credit of the Paid Value on all non-expired, unused Certificates within seven (7) days of their purchase by the Member from dealsaver.com, unless explicitly stated otherwise in a particular deal’s restrictions.

Requests for refunds after seven (7) days are at the sole discretion of the Merchant providing the products or services described in the Certificate.

In addition, dealsaver.com will always honor your request for a refund of the Paid Value of any unredeemed Certificate if the Merchant goes out of business before the Promotional Period expires.

dealsaver.com will not offer any refund or credit at any time after a Member’s purchase for any Event-Related Certificates that take place on a specific date (e.g., a concert, art show, cruise, trip, lodging, etc.). Please refer to the Merchant’s Event-Related Restrictions and restrictions to determine if any refund terms are available directly from the Merchant. Special rules apply for Event-Related Certificates that need to be rescheduled, please see our Terms of Service for more detail.

This Refund Policy is in addition to any rights that you may have under applicable law.

15. How does the "Get Yours Free" promotion work?

On certain deals there may be a "Get Yours Free" button on the deal's detail page in the description area. If a deal you purchase features this promotion, you'll be given a unique referral link to share with friends. You can post your link anywhere you like - Twitter, Facebook, on your blog, in an email, etc. When the specified number (usually 3) of your friends buy the same deal by clicking on your referral link, you'll get the deal you purchased for free! Note: If you purchased more than one deal, you'll only get one for free. The referral link only works for friends that do not live in the same household as you. Sharing the link with someone that lives in the same household is not considered a referral. We are not responsible if your friend does not properly complete their purchase from your referral link.

16. How does the "Refer a friend, get $10 in Deal Bucks" promotion work?

When this promotion is active (you'll see the promotion in a banner near the top of city’s dealsaver homepage), you'll be provided with a unique referral link reserved just for you when you click on the banner. Only registered users can get deal bucks, so please login or register if you have not done so already! Then, share this referral link with all your friends. If one of your friends then signs up for the same city’s dealsaver site via your unique referral link and they make their first purchase on the same city’s dealsaver site within 90 days of their registration, you'll earn $10 in deal bucks. Your friend needs to be a new sign-up on the same city’s dealsaver site and not a member of your household, or it won't count. It's that easy and there is no limit to the amount of deal bucks that you can earn! You can then apply the deal bucks you've earned on future purchases. If you've also signed up for other dealsaver cities, your login and referral code will be unique to each of their city sites, so your bucks can only be used on the dealsaver city's site that awarded you the bucks. Deal bucks will expire 365 days after they are earned, so use them fast!
